Legislation

GGenetic legislation may be clearly expressed in public health statutes. It may also be embedded in other regulations, administrative rules, or other less obvious statutes, e.g. labor law. Identifying and interpreting state genetics legislation is not necessarily straightforward. One example of genetic-related legislation in Maryland is:
Insurance. §Title 27. Unfair Trade Practices and Other Prohibited Practices. Subtitle 9 Miscellaneous Provisions. 27-909 Use of Genetic Tests. Search: select article "Insurance" then enter section "27-909"
